This waterwheel is part of an old mill that is more than 500 years old. More ornamental than functional, this structure adds to the overall appeal of the place.

As you stand on top of the Rhinefalls, you look down into the water foaming below and you get a heady sensation of nature in motion. The falls were not high, yet the waters were fast.

This is the largest waterfall in Europe. To me, it seemed more like a large rapid than a waterfall.
